ISNA / Fars The General Department of Environmental Protection of Fars Province announced the arrest of three groups of poachers in the past two days in Qatrouyeh National Park and the mountains around Shiraz.
The head of the Environmental Protection Department of Shiraz city said: during 2 separate operations in the mountains around Shiraz, 2 groups of poachers were identified and arrested.
According to ISNA, quoting the public relations of Fars Environmental Protection, Ebrahim Heidari said: The officers of the protection unit of this department managed to identify and arrest two groups of poachers in the mountains around Shiraz from the early morning hours of January 6 to 8 pm on the same date.
Heidari said: the agents discovered and confiscated 2 illegal hunting weapons, 3 legal hunting weapons, 7 partridges and 4 bird life nets from these poachers and referred the case of these people to the judicial authorities.
Arrest of 4 hunters in Qatar
The head of Qatrouyeh National Park in Neyriz, Fars province, also announced the arrest of four poachers before hunting in the park.
Mahdipour said: the officers of the Environmental Protection Unit, during a patrol on January 4, managed to identify 4 violators and after informing them of the charge of “starting hunting”, handed them over to the judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
The official said: “A licensed shotgun (unauthorized use of other people’s weapons) was seized from these individuals, along with ten four-barrel bullets, eight bullets, an eyeglass camera and a backpack.”
Discovery of taxidermy parts from the house of 2 hunters
The head of Qatrouyeh National Park also said: after obtaining judicial representation from the Sirjan city prosecutor’s office and accompanied by the information and security police of this city, two houses were inspected with the aim of discovering traces and hunting tools.
Mehdipour added: “During this inspection, the officers managed to seize a taxidermy head of a wild boar and a snail, along with a shotgun, which were handed over to the judicial authorities for legal proceedings.”
According to ISNA, Qatrouyeh National Park and Bahram Goor Protected Area are located in the east of Neyriz city, on the border of Fars and Kerman provinces, and in the political area of Kerman, Yazd and Fars provinces.
