Bad news for educators


The Director General of Education of Tehran, stating that this year we had 8,000 colleagues on the verge of retirement, said: “With the efforts of our colleagues and the self-sacrifice that they showed, 5,000 of them will continue to serve this year.”

Abdolreza Fooladvand stated about the situation of human resources in Tehran schools: The project of sealing and reopening schools in the new academic year started in February 1998 and the six working groups solved the problem of human resources by organizing human resources.

He added: “Fortunately, we had 8,000 colleagues on the verge of retirement, and with the efforts and sacrifices of our colleagues, they showed that 5,000 of them will continue to serve this year.”

The Director General of Education of Tehran added: In this regard, we are not in a bad situation in the field of manpower. It may be small, but it is not a bad situation.

Fooladvand also announced that the transfer of cultural figures to the capital was closed: “Tehran is the reference point of all provinces and, of course, we cooperated to solve the problem of cultural figures.”
