China has denied any involvement in US cyber-attacks.
The Chinese government today (Monday) reacted to remarks by the US president that Chinese hackers may be involved in recent cyberattacks on official Chinese institutions, ILNA reported, quoting Sputnik news agency.
“The United States has raised the issue of cybersecurity without providing any political evidence and is trying to tarnish China’s image by spreading slander,” said Wang Wenbin, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
He added that Beijing opposes any espionage and cyber threats.
“We hope the United States takes a more responsible approach to cybersecurity,” he added.
