A Kremlin spokesman told Russian state television on Sunday that the Russian president was to inject the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine.
Russia launched the optional vaccination program with the Russian Sputnik vaccine in early December. It started with the most vulnerable groups in Moscow.
Russia has the fourth highest number of Covid-19 cases in the world after the United States, India and Brazil, with more than 3.1 million cases and nearly 56,000 deaths.
