Economic cooperation between Iran and Russia is progressing despite harsh US sanctions

Referring to the oil minister’s visit to Moscow, the Iranian ambassador to Russia said that Iran and Russia are advancing economic cooperation despite the imposition of harsh sanctions by the United States.

According to ILNA, quoting Sputnik, “Kazem Jalali”, the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, wrote about the visit of “Bijan Namdar Zanganeh”, the Minister of Oil of Russia, to Russia, that he headed a delegation to meet with high-ranking Russian officials and discuss the latest status of cooperation. The country is heading to Moscow in terms of energy and global market prospects.

He added that Iran’s cooperation and consultation as one of the founders of OPEC and the Russian Federation as one of the largest producers of crude oil and a member of “OPEC Plus” to shape the constructive and stabilizing currents in the turbulent energy market in the world that is still affected by waves. The result of unilateralism, illegitimate sanctions and the spread of the Corona virus is important and necessary.
