According to the Watan newspaper, a court in Kuwait has fined the Al-Siyasah newspaper 6,000 Kuwaiti dinars for insulting Iran.
The court’s ruling states: “The articles published in this newspaper are outside the scope of journalism and should not be used in newspapers to criticize the government.” The Kuwaiti government’s position on regional conflicts is neutral and restrained.
According to this report, the editor-in-chief of Al-Siyasah newspaper is Ahmad Al-Jarullah, who has repeatedly insulted the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Shiite religion.
