Rising prices of livestock and poultry feed in the world market

According to Eqtesadonline, quoting Fars, the price of corn, which is used as animal feed, increased today in world markets.

The report said that each bushel of corn sold for $ 452, up $ 1 from the previous day.

Over the past few months, the price of animal feed in world markets has risen by about 30 percent, putting a lot of pressure on importers of basic products.

Iran is dependent on imports for more than 70% of its livestock and poultry feed inputs. It imports $ 4.5 billion worth of animal feed annually from other countries, and any increase in prices in world markets will cause more currency to leave the country.

More importantly, after the outbreak of coronary heart disease, many exporting countries have revised their export policies and stopped or restricted exports.

Over the past few months, the main reason for the increase in the price of protein products such as chicken, eggs and meat in the country was due to high prices for livestock and poultry feed.

Today, the prices of other livestock and poultry inputs, such as oats, rose to $ 338 with a $ 2.5 price increase.
