The Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, referring to the 1375 manuscript of the Supreme Leader in Toos, said: The order of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution was implemented to develop Toos.
According to ILNA, Ali Asghar Monsan (Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts) said at the inauguration ceremony of the tourism axis of Ferdowsi Tomb to the ancient Tabran Toos fortress: “According to the reports I have received, 48 billion Tomans have been spent for this area so far.” This number is set to increase to 90 billion tomans.
He stated: It was a pity that the tomb of the sage Abolghasem Ferdowsi of Mashhad remained in its previous form. For this purpose, it was decided that the cooperation between Mashhad Municipality and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts has been done and effective measures will be taken for the front of Ferdowsi Tomb.
Monsan added: “Thank God, Mashhad Municipality and also the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts have done very good work in three phases.”
The Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts noted: “It is a valuable work for such a region and an area costing 90 billion Tomans, and we thank God that this blessed event happened after two years and following the request of the Supreme Leader to take more care of this area.” .
Monsan continued: “This event is important in the sense that Mashhad and this region should become one of the important tourism hubs, which, God willing, will happen with the continuation of the ongoing activities and civil works.”
He reminded: The next point that the people of Iran, especially the people of Mashhad, are pursuing is the global registration of the Toos area. As you know, we do not have only one more quota per year for world registration, and the registration of this region as soon as possible has been delayed due to the historical monuments that exist in the country.
The Minister of Heritage, Culture and Tourism and Handicrafts added: “Of course, in the field of Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, the global registration file of this region is being prepared and God willing, in the coming years we can register this file worldwide and offer it to the honorable people of Iran and the good people of Khorasan.” Razavi.
Monson thanked all the people who took part in the activities, as well as the sculptors, some of whose works were unveiled.
He also told reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of the tourism axis of Ferdowsi Tomb to the ancient citadel of Toos Fortress: About two years ago, we visited the Toos site and Ferdowsi Tomb, where I saw the handwriting of the Supreme Leader and his insistence on taking care of this place. This work began with the support of the governor of Khorasan Razavi and the mayor, especially the former mayor of Mashhad, Qassem Taghizadeh Khamesi.
He added: “Ferdowsi’s tomb was oppressed at that time and the site needed a lot of work. Now the actions taken in the site have a lot to do with other historical issues, all the elements are well selected and have a unique design. The municipality and the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of Khorasan Razavi are doing well and so far three phases have been done and 56 billion tomans have been spent here and it is planned to increase up to 90 billion tomans to complete future projects.
The Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts said: “A good area has been predicted to attract tourists and the position of Hakim Ferdowsi is currently well preserved.” If the corona virus is eradicated, many tourists will surely visit this place and visit the tombs and other historical monuments of Toos. The sculptures installed in this place have added to its beauty. I thank all the artists who worked to create these works, and I hope that the work done will be to the satisfaction of the people.
Regarding the Toos global registration process, Monsan said: “The Toos file is being prepared for world registration, and we will complete and prepare this file in the near future so that it can be added to the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Committee as the world registration of Iran and presented to the people of Mashhad.” .
He added: “I also congratulate you on the registration of two intangible heritages that have been done in the last few days, the art of painting and miniatures, as well as the pilgrimage to Thaddeus, which was of great importance to our Armenian compatriots.” The Islamic Republic respects and respects all known religions.
The Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts reminded: Mehregan celebration will also be registered in the world next year. We have an important file on the country’s tangible heritage, which I think is the largest tangible heritage file at UNESCO, with the registration of the North-South Railway, which is about 1,400 km long and all stations of which are in historical sites. We hope to make this case a world record this year, making it the largest UNESCO World Heritage Site to date.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Khorasan Razavi also said on the sidelines of the exploitation ceremony: The construction of this tourism axis by the Municipality of Mashhad and under the supervision of the General Directorate has started from July this year and its implementation has taken 140 days.
Abolfazl Makramifar added: The beginning of the route of this axis is from the front of Ferdowsi Tomb to the ancient site of the ancient citadel and can be divided into four sections, the total length of which is more than a thousand meters and is in the form of a walking path for those interested.
He continued: the credit spent for the implementation of this tourism project is equal to 100 billion rials.
