According to Tejarat News, Shahram Adamnejad, Deputy Minister of Transportation of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, said: “At the discretion of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, flights between Iran and Britain will be suspended for two weeks.”

He added: “Due to the new situation in the case of Covid-19 disease in the UK, flights between Tehran and British destinations will be suspended for two weeks at the discretion of the Ministry of Health and in order to prevent the transmission of the disease and try to protect public health.” Becomes.

Concerns have been raised over the spread of a new strain of the coronavirus in the south of the UK, with some EU member states taking immediate action to ban all incoming flights from the UK.

The recent emergency restrictions imposed by some EU countries come as the British Secretary of Health has called the newly identified strain of the coronavirus “uncontrollable” in terms of the rate of spread.
