1. Have a minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology or the Ministry of Health and Medical Education or the seminary management center

3. Enough health and physical and mental ability to fulfill the responsibility of the presidency

4. Have an end of service card or permanent legal exemption

6. No effective criminal conviction and no deprivation of social rights

7. No bad security record and no affiliation with illegal groups

8. Ineffectiveness in consolidating the former regime and its dependence

9. No history of drug use or addiction

10. Holding a minimum of 6 years in the following positions:

A- Political authority subject to paragraphs “a” to “c” of Article (71) of the Civil Service Management Law approved on 7/8/2007

B- Deputy Chiefs of the three forces

C- Members of the Supreme National Security Council or members of the Expediency Council

D- Governor of the Central Bank

E- Chairman of the Court of Audit

C – Governor

G. The mayor of cities with a population of over two million

H- The head of governmental organizations and institutions and public non-governmental institutions at the national level

I- Supreme Commanders of the Armed Forces with the rank of Major General and higher

D- President of Islamic Azad University in the country

The director of the seminaries of the country

Note 1 emphasized; Recognition and fulfillment of the conditions of presidential candidates within the framework of the Guardian Council’s commentary on “Defining and announcing the criteria and conditions necessary to identify political, religious and managerial and prudent presidential candidates” is the subject of paragraph “5-10 General Election Policies”.
